Red 1-2-3 by John Katzenbach
This psychological thriller had an interesting story line, but the characters were a little blah for my taste. I really wanted to like it, but I had a lot of trouble getting through the book and it took me far longer than normal to finish.
The story revolves around 3 women who each lead very different lives. The only commonality between these women is their red hair and that they have each received letters from a serial killer who calls himself the Big Bad Wolf.
While the Wolf takes his time stalking them and writing his novel about how he plans to kill them, the ‘Red’s’ go on the defensive and start trying to discover who he is. Using clues left by the Wolf, they discover each others identities and band together to start planning how they can survive.
With the Wolf closing in, the Reds only hope of survival is to beat the Wolf at his own game.
