The Monster of Florence by Magdalen Nabb
Magdalen Nabb strikes at the heart of every super sleuth with this brilliant representation of the historical crime mystery. Utilizing true details and molding it with an imagination capable of stirring the minds of others she created a story worth a thousand reads.
The movement is continuous, the fear palpable, you are on the case with Marshal Guarnaccia, chosen as part of a select group of the top investigators to hunt down the vicious Monster of Florence. The Monster preyed upon lovers on lonely lanes and had the ability to vanish as easily as he appeared.
All is not lost on Marshal, while juggling a family, his cases, and his stubborn partner’s opinion that the case may be just another lost cause Marshal is also dealing with a prosecutor whose main interests lay with fame and not the facts.
A good read with lots of twists and turns, left me with an urge to read more.
