Red Moon by Benjamin Percy
When the book opens, we meet Patrick. He’s a high school student going to live with his estranged mother because his dad is joining the military. What happens en route will change his life forever.
Claire, by all means, appears to be your typical high school student. We are introduced to her as she is debating on what college she is going to attend. In a short time, however, we experience her life drastically changing.
Miriam is a thirty-something loner. We come to find out, rather quickly, why she is secluded. She’s needed and she wants no part in what needs her.
Governor Chase Williams likes to play with fire and we all know that sooner or later, you get burned – or in this case it bites him.
They are all connected, in ways you’ll never see coming.
With all the craze surrounding vampires, werewolves, aliens, and zombies, this book certainly fits the bill. I wasn’t exactly a fan of this book; however if you like graphic gory details, things that go bump in the night, and resistances, then this book will be up your alley. This is definitely not a book for the faint of heart.
